Chris Curtis

Chris Curtis co-founded Lattice Software Pty Ltd in the 1980s, becoming Software Development Manager (HR Systems) for Mincom when it acquired Lattice. Subsequently he has been Software Engineering Manager and later General Manager of Hong Kong Jockey Club's Australian Research and Development Operations and Chief Technology Officer, Australian Managing Director and member of the international management board of global security vendor, Eracom Technologies.

 

Currently Mr Curtis is the Managing Director of Long Reach Technologies, which provides IT consulting and services (under the brand My IT Manager) to a number of clients across various industry sectors including retail, accounting, law, recruitment, manufacturing, education and software development

Mark

Mark is a programmer who doesn't believe in limitations or any one style of programming, preferring to have many options available and selecting the most efficient way.

 

He is known for his ability to find motivation regardless of the coding task at hand, and automating work that would otherwise require robot-like repetition.

 

Mark has worked extensively in both .NET and PHP since graduating from university in 2003, with a focus on database driven web applications.

 

Mark shares a passion for the sport of golf, training with any spare time before or after work, with the goal to achieve professional status on the Australian, U.S. and Japanese tours and play golf under-par all around the world.

Natasha

Natasha Hurst is a Business Analyst for ThoughtWare, our software development company provides a variety of services to corporations. Natasha consults regularly with executives from a variety of fields to help implement software management system solutions to facilitate their organisations. 

 

Prior to her current position, Natasha has an eclectic working history in areas such as Catering, Welding, Hair and Beauty, Aerospace Engineering, Entertainment Industry, Information Technology – Multimedia and Networking just to name a few… hence that she believes in 'You must learn day by day, year by year, to broaden your horizons. Shayne

Shayne is a Multimedia Developer who has recently joined the Thoughtware Family. His rolls at Thoughtware include, Graphic design, Web Design, front end programming just to name a few.

 

Whilst he is still at university undertaking his bachelor degree in Information Technology he finds working at Thoughtware has benefited him in a number of different ways.

 

Such as his graphical artwork being printed in numerous magazines such as “The It informer” and “Australian PC User” magazines.

 

Originally from New Zealand, he and his family move to Australia to begin a new life in sunny Queensland and loving it.

Sonja Bernhardt

Sonja Bernhardt is an Australian information technology industry identity and role model [1], founder and Inaugural President of WiT (Women in Technology) in 1997[2] and co founder and Inaugural President of AWISE (Australian Women in IT and Science Entity) in 2005[3], two not for profit industry groups that run community based projects and programs specifically to encourage women and girls into technology careers. In addition, Bernhardt is responsible for a number of high impact (and usually controversial) initiatives to raise the profile of women in technology and break perceptions of technology careers as "nerdy" or "male", such as the 2007 Screen Goddess IT Calendar, IT's Million $ Babes Awards and Doing IT Around the World.

Damian

Damian has extensive experience in MS Access, Visual Basic and SQL Server, including all facets of the development lifecycle, Business Analysis, Systems Analysis and documentation.

 

Formally qualified in Information Technology, Damian has kept his skills up to date through both formal training courses and self-study, completing several MSDN Training Courses in the fields of Visual Basic and SQL Server.  Damian recently completed his Cert IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.

Throughout his career, Damian has always strived to provide the best service to clients whom he has supported, and has a wealth of experience in dealing with persons from all levels in an organisation.

 

Damian's experience encompasses private industry clients, internal clients and Queensland Government clients, including the Department of Premier and Cabinet, State Development, the old Tourism, Small Business and Industry, Multicultural Affairs, Works, Housing, Parliamentary Services and Emergency Services.

 

Damian has been volunteering with Camp Quality for six years - he is a companion, camp leader, part of the Camp Quality leadership team, official CQ puppeteer, fundraiser and now esCarpade entrant! He is the brains behind the operation, handling communications and finances, as well as maintaining the Booger Mobile blog. He can also lift heavy objects.
